Jarvis Cocker
August 2, 2009 - Los Angeles, CA
Having Jarvis Cocker play on my birthday was probably one of the highlights of the year. After all these years, the guy hasn't lost one bit of magic. Ok, it's not Pulp circa 1995, but it's as close as you're gonna get for now.
Here are some more pictures we posted last week, but larger!

We're all over the free shows happening in New York this summer.
South Street Seaport is a fantastic setting for summer entertainment and outdoor events. The River To River Festival at Seaport Music takes place at the heart of the waterfront on Pier 17. All events are free; there’s plenty of room to stand, set up a lawn chair, or spread out a blanket. And we took some pictures there last Friday. Take a look at the latest indie sensations The Pains of Being Pure at Heart!

Port O'Brien @ The Independent - June 25, 2009 - Photo by Amber Gregory
Port O'Brien's music was literally born out in the sea near Kodiak Island Alaska where Van Pierszalowski worked as a salmon fisherman every summer with his father. Van eventually met Cambria Goodwin to form a folk-duo which eventually turned into a full-fledged five piece band known as Port O'Brien.
Check out our pics from their show in San Francisco.
