Move over Vivian Girls and Mika Miko or any other 'girl' bands for that matter. I have a new favorite band on the top of my list called Those Darlins!

These country boozin' gals from Tennessee tore up Silverlake Lounge last week by winning over hearts, knocking over mics, guzzling budweisers, telling a few jokes, and grinding out a few tunes with an enthusiastic audience.

"DANCE YOU JERKS!", Those Darlins yelled at the crowd. They obviously have something against people who don't dance at their shows, and who wouldn't?

Their toe-tapping ditties mixed with their irreverant punk personalities made me forget about the other bands who opened that night. Typical banter delivered by the Darlin's on stage, "What's that on your chest?" was followed by, "My tits?"

Or how can one forget the jokes in between songs, "A paraplegic walked into a bar.... just kidding."

During a raucous finale, the girls took out their frustrations on the non-dancing hipsters in Los Angeles by making a mess of the stage and announcing, "Hi, we're Those Darlins. I don't think we'll be playing back here soon". I love them!
