Forest City Lovers Announce North American Tour Dates

June 3, 2010

Liz Caruso

I've always had a love/hate relationship with Canadian artists. One on hand, they usually make music that manages to hook me for weeks at a time. On the other hand, despite them being our close neighbors, it seems they rarely gain enough popularity to venture outside of Canadian borders.

Cue my excitement and subsequent disappointment when Forest City Lovers, one of my favorite Canadian bands (watch this video, and see if they win you over, too), announced their North American tour dates -- with only one date in the US.

Guess I'll have to keep waiting for more US shows, but fortunate Canadians or Chicagoans (what else might people from Chicago be called? Windy People?) shouldn't miss out on their whimsical indie pop. Luckily, their third LP Carriage is out June 29th, which will tide me over in the meantime.
