She & Him Brought "Don't Look Back" to Late Late Show

I was such a fan of She & Him's newest album, Volume 2 (out now via Merge), that I really wanted to post their Letterman performance of "In the Sun" or their appearance on Kimmel's show with "Thieves". That is, until I realized that I couldn't watch either video without a recurring cringe in response to Zooey Deschanel's obvious nerves and pained facial expressions.

Maybe it's because she's seemed to get along well with Ferguson in interviews (note the puppet play starting around 3:00), or maybe it's because Ferguson didn't inform her that literally dozens of people would be watching (an old joke of his), but Zooey thankfully was less nervous for their performance of "Don't Look Back" on his show. Enjoy the absence of her intense, nervous eye contact, and a great live rendition of the song above!
