Video: Broken Social Scene - Forced to Love

Broken Social Scene's new video for "Forced to Love" is one of the craziest clips to come out lately, thanks to the 3D rendering technology the directors - Adam Makarenko and Alan Poon aka MAKAPOON - utilized.
"It's an experimental 3D scanning technology that detects the displacement of a grid pattern of any object in front of it," Poon explains. "The data is then used to rebuild the object in three dimensions. Each band member's performance was scanned using this technique and manipulated in the computer to create the effect you see in the final video."
The result is near-hallucinatory, hologram-like images of the band performing flickering across your computer screen. Your eyes will like what they see, and your ears will like what they hear. Too bad former members Leslie Feist and Emily Haines didn't make an appearance. Now that really would be trip-worthy.
Forgiveness Rock Record, their latest and fourth full-length, is out now on Arts & Crafts.
