New Music: Yourself and the Air - Trampolines

June 1, 2011

A shameful secret: I loathe summer. Where most dream of days spent basking in the sun, I cringe at the thought of the upcoming season. To me, nothing is less appealing than sunburns, sand tangled up in your hair, and sweating every time you step out for a few moments. I'm the grinch of summertime.

Then, I hear a sunny song like Yourself and the Air's "Trampolines" and my bias against summer is cured, if only throughout the duration of the tune. Its upbeat pop melody is paired with building, cyclical guitar lines and enough experimental edge to keep it fresh while still accessible. A medley of ooh's at the end close it up like the cherry every ice cream sundae requires on top.

My final point? Simply that you should listen to this song. Go grab it below!
