The Fiery Furnaces' End Is Near

It's that time of year again. The Fiery Furnaces are preparing for the release of yet another album I'm Going Away with a flurry of quirky news headlines such as The Fiery Furnaces Are Like Japan, oddball promo videos, and a make-your-own video contest for their first single The End Is Near - out today. Frankly, the year wouldn't feel right if I wasn't obsessing atleast two or three months in advance anticpating this year's Furnaces record by following every news nugget dispensed through various blog outlets.

I'm Going Away, coming out July 21, will mark the experimental rock duo's eighth album since 2003.
